About The Position

Seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Insurance to join a dynamic team. This role is pivotal in driving growth and ensuring the highest level of service for the clients. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of experience in brokerage or underwriting, a strong understanding of property and casualty insurance, and a passion for building and maintaining client relationships. This is a hybrid position, offering a balance of remote work and in-office collaboration.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in risk management, business administration, economics, finance, or a related field is preferred.
6 to 8 years of experience in brokerage or underwriting.
Active property & casualty insurance license is required.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute marketing strategies for client accounts.
Manage the renewal process, including negotiating improved terms and pricing with underwriters.
Conduct analyses of exposures and recommend appropriate coverage options.
Build and maintain strong client relationships throughout the renewal process and beyond.
Respond to client and underwriter inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
Provide consultation on claims and lead client meetings, including presenting renewal options.
Perform coverage reviews and due diligence for prospective clients.
Delegate tasks to team members, including Senior Analysts, Analysts, and Administrative Assistants, as appropriate.
Mentor and support team members in their professional development.
Keep the Managing Director informed of significant account matters and escalate issues when necessary.
Collaborate with the Managing Director on strategies for larger accounts.
