Director of Institutional Giving
About The Position
This is a full-time salaried position based in the Entertainment Community Fund’s National Headquarters Office in Times Square, New York City. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 7+ years of progressive experience in institutional fundraising, with a proven track record of securing grants, preferably in the performing arts or human services
- Exceptional writing and proposal development skills
- Excellent organization and time-management skills, ability to track and meet deadlines, and meticulous attention to detail
- Proficiency in grant management software and donor relationship management (CRM) systems
- Budgeting and program management experience required.
- Managerial experience
- Knowledge of and enthusiasm for the performing arts and/or entertainment industry
- Available for occasional evening and/or weekend events outside of regular working hours
- Knowledge of New York City’s cultural funding landscape

- Knowledge of Los Angeles, Chicago, Atlanta or Las Vegas cultural funding landscape is welcome
Responsibilities
- Set annual institutional giving goals and collaborate with colleagues throughout the organization to manage and grow existing grants, identify and pursue new funding opportunities, and build the institutional giving portfolio.
- Manage a robust portfolio of institutional donors
- Develop an institutional giving strategy
- Establish annual institutional giving projections
- Maintain strong relationships and provide regular communication and stewardship
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting to institutional funders
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive tracking system for institutional grants and funding opportunities
- Prepare compelling materials that lead to new or continuing support from funding institutions
- Conduct research on prospective institutional donors to inform cultivation and request strategies
- Uphold the mission, vision and values of the Entertainment Community Fund within the office and in all external interactions.
