About The Position

This is a full-time salaried position based in the Entertainment Community Fund’s National Headquarters Office in Times Square, New York City. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in institutional fundraising, with a proven track record of securing grants, preferably in the performing arts or human services
  • Exceptional writing and proposal development skills
  • Excellent organization and time-management skills, ability to track and meet deadlines, and meticulous attention to detail
  • Proficiency in grant management software and donor relationship management (CRM) systems
  • Budgeting and program management experience required.
  • Managerial experience
  • Knowledge of and enthusiasm for the performing arts and/or entertainment industry
  • Available for occasional evening and/or weekend events outside of regular working hours
  • Knowledge of New York City’s cultural funding landscape

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Los Angeles, Chicago, Atlanta or Las Vegas cultural funding landscape is welcome

Responsibilities

  • Set annual institutional giving goals and collaborate with colleagues throughout the organization to manage and grow existing grants, identify and pursue new funding opportunities, and build the institutional giving portfolio.
  • Manage a robust portfolio of institutional donors
  • Develop an institutional giving strategy
  • Establish annual institutional giving projections
  • Maintain strong relationships and provide regular communication and stewardship
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting to institutional funders
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive tracking system for institutional grants and funding opportunities
  • Prepare compelling materials that lead to new or continuing support from funding institutions
  • Conduct research on prospective institutional donors to inform cultivation and request strategies
  • Uphold the mission, vision and values of the Entertainment Community Fund within the office and in all external interactions.
