About The Position

The Director of Inside Sales is responsible for leading and managing the inside sales team, driving sales strategies, and ensuring the achievement of sales targets for specific product lines. This role involves developing and implementing sales plans, managing key customer relationships, and overseeing the daily operations of the inside sales department. The Director of Inside Sales will work closely with other departments to ensure seamless customer service and satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in product sales preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in sales management preferred.
  • Strong business acumen including but not limited to P&L understanding.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills (PowerPoint and Google Slides).
  • Performance driven and data oriented.
  • Highly organized.
  • Effective time-management.
  • Strong PC skills and proficient analytical capabilities.
  • Big picture focus yet comfortable with details.
  • Aptitude for strategic and sales planning.
  • Experience in employee training, development, and performance management.
  • Strong customer orientation.
  • Aptitude for business development and project management.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Must be available to travel throughout company territory to perform training, presentations, meetings, and participate in other company events; overnight travel required, up to 50%.
  • Must be able to travel and have a clear driving record in accordance with company driving guidelines.
  • Clear background check and drug/alcohol screening.
  • Lifting up to 25 pounds
  • Bending, stooping, ability to stand for extended periods of time

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the inside sales team, including recruitment, training, and performance management.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve sales targets for specific product lines.
  • Manage key customer relationships and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Oversee the daily operations of the inside sales department, including order processing, quoting, and customer support.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as marketing, operations, and product development, to ensure alignment and support for sales initiatives.
  • Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
  • Prepare and present sales reports and forecasts to senior management.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
