Boone Memorial Hospital is seeking a dynamic, compassionate, and results-driven Director of Inpatient Nursing Floor to lead our inpatient nursing team. Summary The Director of the Inpatient Nursing Floor is a leadership role responsible for overseeing the operations, clinical care, and staff management on an inpatient nursing unit within the hospital. This position is critical to ensure that high-quality, patient-centered care is provided while maintaining operational efficiency and compliance with regulatory standards. The Director will lead nursing staff, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and drive initiatives aimed at improving patient outcomes, safety, satisfaction, and top-quality indicators for performance improvement.

Requirements

• Active West Virginia RN Licensure
• BLS & ACLS Certifications
• Strong leadership and team-building abilities
• Deep knowledge of regulatory standards and patient safety practices
• Proven ability to lead change in a fast-paced healthcare environment

Responsibilities

• Ensure delivery of safe, high-quality, evidence-based care
• Maintain compliance with regulatory agencies (Joint Commission, CMS)
• Monitor and improve quality metrics and patient satisfaction scores
• Lead quality improvement initiatives to reduce harm and enhance outcomes
• Champion a culture of safety and accountability
• Lead, mentor, and support RNs, case managers, and nursing support staff
• Recruit, hire, train, and evaluate team members
• Provide coaching and professional development opportunities
• Promote collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement
• Conduct and participate in nursing education in-services
• Manage staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation
• Oversee departmental budget and cost containment efforts
• Utilize data and analytics to forecast staffing needs
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
• Serve as liaison between nursing staff and hospital leadership
