About The Position

As our full-time Director of Information Technology, you will oversee the day-to-day information technology operations. You will be responsible for working with the Fractional CIO on developing and implementing an IT plan that aligns with the strategic plan of the organization, including managing IT resources and staff, making recommendations for IT expenditures, as well as coordinating, planning, and implementing computer and telecommunications related activities. This role also ensures the ongoing development and reporting functionality of SouthLight's electronic health record. Additionally, this position is responsible for data security and compliance with regulatory requirements. The Director of IT will work closely with the Program Evaluation Manager to report and communicate data analysis reports and statistical measures.

Requirements

  • BS in Computer Science, MIS or similar field. Experience may be substituted.
  • 2+ years supervisory experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of technical management, information analysis and of computer hardware/software systems.
  • Expertise in data center management and data governance.
  • Hands-on experience with computer networks, network administration and coordinates network installation.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure Infrastructure required.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Excellent skills in written and oral communication, time management, organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office 365, EchoVantage, script writing, etc.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiar with electronic health records, Echo Vantage and Avatar preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Works with the Fractional CIO to develop and implement an IT strategy consistent with the goals and objectives of the organization.
  • Oversees IT staff in the daily functions of IT and telecommunication across the organization and ensures continuity of services.
  • Supervises all IT Staff Roles.
  • Provides end user support for software and hardware issues as needed.
  • Identifies development, enhancement, and maintenance priorities related to IT, and telecommunications.
  • Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, including but not limited to HIPAA and HITECH.
  • Responsible for managing IT vendor relationships and contracts.
  • Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems.
  • Maintains and develops SouthLight's electronic health record, Office 365, Methasoft, and other organizational technologies and software.
  • Manages the acquisition, installation, configuration, coordination, monitoring and on-going maintenance of software.
  • Participates in data and system evaluation activities, including development of effective data collection, monitoring, analysis and reporting systems.
  • Provides training and coaching to employees.
  • Prepares detailed IT-related reports and communicates findings as necessary to the leadership team.
