About The Position

The Director of Information Technology (IT) is responsible for the overall direction and support of all technologies utilized in the company which include end user, enterprise application, SaaS, and infrastructure support. The Director of IT ensures that all information technology activities are properly coordinated, scheduled, monitored, and resolved while managing priorities. The responsibilities of this position include evaluation, implementation, advanced troubleshooting, and overall IT systems administration. This position reports directly to Chief Administrative Officer (CAO).

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Management Information Systems, or Business Administration with emphasis on computer-related courses.
  • Minimum 10 years of related experience.
  • Experience monitoring and managing user accounts for hardware, network, and related computer systems/peripheral devices.
  • Familiarity with service desk/help desk/ticketing software.
  • Significant experience working with, troubleshooting, and coordinating projects with different departments outside of IT.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Active Directory, VOIP telephony programming, web domain and DNS record management, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft EntraID, FreshDesk.
  • Knowledge of the following communication and connectivity systems: Microsoft TCP/IP, networking protocols, network printing/printer troubleshooting, file sharing, and Internet application connectivity.
  • Success managing projects and processes with both internal and external resources.

Nice To Haves

  • Project Management Certification (Agile, PMP or Scrum).
  • Microsoft Role Based / CompTIA certifications.
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience working in a regulated/compliant organization.
  • Experience in professional services environment
  • Cisco Meraki network architecture design and troubleshooting
  • Knowledge and experience with CCH, Wolters Kluwer, and Thomson Reuters systems/processes/applications.

Responsibilities

  • Manage IT system environments across all KBGRP office locations and Microsoft Azure hosted environment.
  • Oversee daily activities to resolve incidents, problems, and change management directives. This also includes pro-active remediations, projects, and equipment refreshes.
  • Coordinate with our third-party vendors to maintain system configurations, maintenance schedules, system access and controls for all infrastructure and solutions.
  • Advise how to utilize information technology to meet business objectives and use expertise to identify technical solutions to business problems/inefficiencies and facilitates change.
  • Respond to major incidents, site outages, and security alerts quickly and effectively.
  • Work effectively in a team environment, sharing technical knowledge, solutions, and recommendations with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Present technical solutions in written or oral reports, and provide recommendations based on data utilization.
  • Interface with staff and executives at all levels of the organization; defining software, hardware, and network requirements that meet our requirements.
  • Manage a team of professionals to support Information Technology objectives which includes direct reports, contractors, and vendors.
  • Manage key third-party vendors providing critical services and functions to ensure SLA’s and other service-related obligations are being met.
  • Provide remote and/or in-person support to all employees at corporate office locations. This includes but is not limited to workstations (both laptops and desktops), networking, printers, and all other legacy/proprietary devices such as Audio/Video conferencing rooms.
  • Ability to provide consistent work direction for others to complete projects and service requests on time and within budget.
  • Availability after hours and weekends for projects, major incidents, and planned and unplanned outages.
  • Attention to detail and focus to ensure all team responsibilities are tracked and completed, able to handle dynamic and changing environments.
  • Demonstrated organized and methodical approach to handling and managing Information Technology problems, projects, and tasks.
  • Strong leadership, management, and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively manage highly skilled staff.
  • Ability to serve as a strategic partner with vendors, IT, and business unit leaders.
  • Ability to balance long-term and short-term priorities to achieve organizational goals.
  • Availability after hours and weekends for projects, major incidents, and planned/unplanned outages.
