About The Position

Clinically oversees the ICF-IDD and HCS residential programs and the Texas Home Living program. Will be responsible in ensuring all services meet program requirements and remain fully compliant with audit standards. Participates in budgeting activities and maintains fiscal accountability by managing costs and expenditures within the residential program budget. Oversee day-to-day supervision of nursing and residential operations across regional IDD programs. Fosters a positive, collaborative work environment and offers ongoing mentorship to staff. Meets regularly with the Chief of IDD Services to review staffing needs, address operational issues, and recommend improvements. Responsibilities include monitoring patient care and overseeing the training, hiring, performance, and professional development of all IDD residential provider staff. Operates with minimal supervision while ensuring high standards of service delivery and organizational compliance. Ensures nursing care standards are followed and collaborates closely with the Chief of Nursing on clinical needs.

Requirements

  • Possesses working knowledge of ICF, HCS, and Texas Home Living program principles, as well as comprehensive understanding of the needs of individuals with IDD.
  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively and influence team members at all levels of the organization.
  • Able to manage and supervise personnel efficiently.
  • Maintains strong computer skills, including proficiency in standard Microsoft Office applications.
  • Holds general knowledge of psychiatric nursing principles and the methods, procedures, and practices used in community mental health services.
  • Also has general knowledge of professional nursing techniques and procedures.
  • Able to work under conditions that require physical stamina and emotional stability.
  • Demonstrates the ability to plan and complete work effectively and to exercise sound judgment in decision making.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required.
  • Must have active and unrestricted licensed to practice as a Registered nurse (RN) in the state of Texas.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, squat, lift 25 pounds, sit for an extended period, and reach overhead.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in project planning and implementation is preferred.
  • Prefer Master’s degree in nursing.
