About The Position

Under the general guidance of the Chief Human Resource Officer, the Director of Human Resources will serve on the HR leadership team, which is responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing Human Resource Management’s programs across the LSUHSC -NO campus. The Director leads the teams to include, but not limited to, delegation of work, performance management, motivation, training, project management and oversight of quality of work. The incumbent implements and improves internal Human Resource related workflows across the organization to align sound, ethical, efficient and accurate practices. Works closely with department, school, division leadership (Deans, Vice Chancellors, Fiscal Deans, Business Managers), external vendors, and internal administration departments (Payroll, Accounting, HRIS , IT, Compliance) to ensure efficient and effective operations of all Human Resource programs. The Director ensures compliance with relevant federal and state statutory regulations and requirements, as well as, successfully leading the team through internal and external audits. Measures and reports metrics on the effectiveness of process, systems, programs and policies to internal and external stakeholders. The incumbent will be agile in assisting with all areas of Human Resources while the focus will be on the areas of Benefits, Retirement, and HRIS . The incumbent is responsible for the administration of all employee benefits programs to include health (medical, dental, vision), life, disability, retirement ( TRSL , LASERS , ORP ) and other supplemental and required Louisiana State benefit programs. The position is also responsible for managing and overseeing the Human Resource Information Systems ( HRIS ), to include but not be limited to, PeopleSoft, PageUp, Hire Right, FMLA ( TASC ) and ER case management software.

Responsibilities
