The qualified applicant for this position should possess patient-focused skilled nursing experience in a leadership role, excellent communication skills, be dependable and flexible and have a passion for making a difference in the lives of the geriatric population. Will provide an administrative and overall managerial authority for all functions (including care delivery activities and training) of the Nursing Department. The Director of Health Services is accountable to the center’s administrator for the management of the Nursing Department. Position Highlights: Is responsible for maintaining clinical competency as evidenced by application integrated nursing knowledge and skills, leadership, and communication skills. Utilized the nursing process in assessment, planning and implementing care. Exhibits organizational ability related to workflow, prioritizing to meet patient care needs. Requirements

  • RN or LPN – graduate of an accredited school of nursing and currently licensed to practice nursing in (South Carolina)
  • Must have professional experience in the practice of geriatrics, nursing administration, and other related areas
  • Must be caring, compassionate, have a positive attitude and be a team player
  • Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills in the areas of nursing administration, nursing practice, rehabilitation, and partner relations management.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience as a DON preferred, but not required
