About The Position

The Director of Health Services Operations provides executive leadership and day-to-day operational oversight for multiple clinical service lines, including Dental, Primary/Urgent Care, Behavioral Health, and Wellness Services. The Director ensures efficient practice management, exceptional patient care, and operational excellence while advancing strategic growth. In close partnership with the Physician Medical Director and the Senior Management Team (SMT), this role drives performance against quality metrics, fosters a seamlessly integrated 'One CRNA' patient experience, and stewards fiscal responsibility through data-driven decision-making, cost management, and responsible growth of services and patient volume.

Requirements

Proven leadership and management experience across multi-clinic operations with diverse service lines.
Knowledge of healthcare administration, practice operations, and regulatory compliance, including HRSA and federally funded program requirements.
Strong financial acumen: budgeting, forecasting, cost management, and performance improvement (PDSA, Lean, Value-stream Mapping, etc.).
Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and execute process improvements using KPIs and dashboards.
Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, and communication skills for effective collaboration with providers, staff, and community partners.
Demonstrated ability to coach and develop leaders and foster positive, high-performing team environments.
Strong understanding and sensitivity to Alaska Native culture and lifestyle; proven effectiveness working with Alaska Native populations.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines and maintaining confidentiality (HIPAA).
Proficiency with common business and EHR-related computer applications and reporting tools.
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Nursing, or a related field.
Three (3)+ years of experience in healthcare leadership with direct supervision.
Demonstrated experience managing clinic operations and achieving results across multiple priorities.
Strong understanding and sensitivity to Alaska Native culture and lifestyle, with demonstrated experience working effectively with Alaska Native populations.

Nice To Haves

Master's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Nursing, or a related field.
Five (5) to seven (7+) years of experience in healthcare management within multi-clinic, comprehensive medical services organizations.
Experience in Rural Health, specifically Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) and/or Tribal Health Organizations.
Experience leading service line integration, strategic planning, and implementation of new medical services.

Responsibilities

Provide leadership and oversight for all health service clinics to ensure smooth, reliable daily operations.
Manage clinic scheduling, patient access, throughput, supply chain, and resource allocation across service lines.
Foster positive provider relations and alignment with organizational goals; partner closely with clinic managers and the Physician Medical Director.
Facilitate collaboration among all CRNA medical services to deliver an integrated, patient-centered 'One CRNA' experience.
Continually review systems, processes, and policies to promote innovation, integration, collaboration, and efficiency.
Collaborate with the Senior Management Team (SMT) to develop and execute strategic plans that advance exceptional medical services, integration of all CRNA medical services, and expansion of the services portfolio.
Lead the innovation, feasibility assessment, and implementation of new or enhanced services and care models.
Coordinate with SMT on equipment purchases, lease arrangements, facility construction, and service expansions.
Oversee financial performance of clinics, including expense control, revenue cycle awareness, and growth strategies.
Collaborate with clinic managers and Finance to build annual operating and capital budgets; present for Board approval.
Conduct financial feasibility forecasts; analyze operations for cost management and performance to ensure services meet budget expectations.
Partner with the Physician Medical Director to monitor and achieve clinical quality metrics and patient outcomes.
Ensure compliance with regulatory/accreditation standards, organizational policies, and best practices, including HIPAA and HRSA expectations.
Drive initiatives to improve patient experience, access, and safety; use KPIs and dashboards to identify trends and implement process improvements.
Provide leadership, supervision, and direction to managers of all medical service divisions; coach leaders to build high-trust, high-performance teams.
Lead training, coaching, and performance management for clinic staff; support workforce planning, recruitment, and retention.
Model a culture of respect, accountability, and continuous improvement with sensitivity to Alaska Native cultures and rural community needs.
Prepare and deliver consistent, transparent operational and performance reporting to the Board of Directors, SMT, tribal councils, community gatherings, and company meetings.
Represent CRNA in relevant associations, workgroups, and committees to advocate for organizational interests and stay at the forefront of healthcare developments.
Build and maintain strong internal and external relationships to support coordinated care and community partnerships.
