About The Position

General Purpose: Directs and oversees all aspects of Golf Operations including its activities and relationships between guests, associates and community. Has the ultimate responsibility for maximum guest satisfaction and financial performance. Essential Duties: Develops, implements, and monitors annual budget, revenue goals and expenses for operations departments. Provides timely and accurate reporting of all financial and non-financial information as directed, requested or required by Troon Golf management or representatives. Monitors monthly and other financial reports/statements on a daily, weekly and monthly basis for the facility and takes effective corrective action when necessary. Develops, maintains and administers sound organizational plans and initiates improvements as necessary. Maintains membership with the PGA and CMAA and other professional associations. Attends workshops and meetings to keep abreast of current information and developments. Oversees the care and maintenance of all the facilities physical assets. Coordinates marketing programs designed to promote the facility's services to potential customers. Ensures the highest standards of quality for food and beverage service on property. Implements policies and procedures for the Golf, Food and Beverage, and Maintenance Departments, including compliance of all company standards relating to quality of products and services. Responsible for interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning, and directing work, evaluating performance, rewarding, and disciplining associates; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Manages department members that may include, but is not limited to: Head Professional, Tournament Coordinator, Director of Instruction, Golf Services Manager, Superintendent, and Food and Beverage Manager Assures that effective orientation and training are given to each new associate. Develops ongoing training programs. Regular and reliable attendance. Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree (BA); or four to six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience (Multi-course facilities may require more experience). Physical Demands: Regularly stands, walks and sits. Occasionally climbs or balances; stoops, kneels, crawls or crouches. Frequently uses hands; reaches with hands and arms. Frequently talks or hears; tastes or smells. Occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds. Environment/Noise: Occasionally works in wet or humid conditions (non-weather). Frequently works in outdoor weather conditions. Noise level is moderate. Certificates/Licenses: Class A member of PGA/LPGA Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Preferences: Ability to read and speak English is required in order to perform the duties of the job (e.g. the associates are required to communicate with English speaking customers or co-workers, the manuals for the equipment the associates may use are in English). Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (BA); or four to six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience (Multi-course facilities may require more experience)
