About The Position

The Director of Global Logistics is responsible for developing and executing the global logistics strategy for Energy Access Innovations. This role provides strategic leadership and operational oversight of transportation, warehousing, distribution, trade compliance, and logistics network optimization across all regions. The Director ensures the global logistics organization operates with maximum efficiency, visibility, compliance, and scalability to support company growth and deliver exceptional customer service.

Requirements

Strong strategic planning and analytical skills.
Expertise with transportation management systems (TMS), warehouse management systems (WMS), and logistics visibility tools.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship management abilities.
Demonstrated success leading cross-functional and multicultural teams.
In-depth knowledge of global logistics regulations, customs compliance, and carrier governance.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Logistics, or related field (Master’s preferred).
10+ years of progressive leadership experience in global logistics or transportation operations.
Deep expertise in international freight, multimodal transportation, warehousing, distribution, and trade compliance.
Experience managing logistics operations across multiple regions and complex global networks.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement a comprehensive global logistics strategy aligned with corporate and business unit goals.
Establish governance frameworks, KPIs, and continuous improvement initiatives across the logistics organization.
Partner with executive leadership on logistics network design, freight strategy, and risk-mitigation planning.
Ensure alignment between logistics operations and overall operational objectives.
Lead global transportation operations across ocean, air, rail, parcel, and truckload/LTL networks.
Oversee domestic and international warehousing, distribution, and 3PL/4PL management.
Direct import/export logistics, including customs compliance, duty optimization, and freight forwarding.
Implement and refine systems that improve real-time logistics visibility, tracking, and performance analytics.
Drive logistics process standardization, automation, and operational excellence initiatives.
Manage global carrier relationships, including selection, contract negotiation, and performance management.
Develop strategic partnerships with logistics providers to improve service quality, reliability, and cost efficiency.
Conduct carrier evaluations, audits, and continuous improvement programs.
Oversee the efficient movement, staging, and distribution of goods across the global network.
Support fulfillment operations by ensuring timely, accurate, and cost-effective logistics execution.
Monitor logistics impacts on inventory flow, cycle times, and customer delivery performance.
Ensure adherence to international trade regulations, customs requirements, export controls, and compliance standards.
Develop and maintain policies for global logistics documentation, import/export procedures, and audit readiness.
Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to mitigate logistics-related risk.
