About The Position

We are seeking a seasoned and strategic Director of Global Executive Protection to lead the design and delivery of a world‑class protection program for Cummins, a Fortune 100 company with operations in more than 190 countries. Based in Indiana with required global travel, this on‑site role oversees a scalable, intelligence‑driven approach to ensuring the safety, mobility, and business continuity of the CEO and senior leaders in dynamic and high‑visibility environments. In partnership with the Executive Director of Global Security, the Director will guide all aspects of enterprise protective operations, from global travel and event security to program governance and executive advisement. You will lead a high‑performing team, collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and international security partners, and serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO on personal risk, travel safety, and emerging global threats. In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways: Drive global strategy: Build and execute a global executive protection vision aligned to enterprise risk and executive needs. Set global standards: Establish policies, procedures, and metrics to ensure consistent protection across all regions. Advise senior leadership : Serve as the primary security advisor to the CEO and senior leaders on personal, travel, and emerging risks. Lead protective operations: Direct global protection activities, including travel, events, residences, and high‑risk environments. Oversee protective intelligence: Manage advance work, intelligence, logistics, and movement coordination worldwide. Manage crisis response: Lead crisis management, incident response, and after‑action reviews for executive safety. Develop high‑performing teams: Recruit, develop, and lead the executive protection team and regional partners. Strengthen global partnerships: Build relationships with international law enforcement, diplomatic security, and vetted providers. Integrate intelligence and technology: Leverage threat monitoring, risk assessments, and modern security technologies. Align governance and resources: Partner across functions to align with enterprise governance and manage the program budget effectively.

Requirements

  • Proven executive protection leadership: Significant experience directing global executive or dignitary protection programs, with a track record of shaping or transforming protective operations in complex, multinational environments.
  • Expert risk and intelligence acumen: Deep capability in threat assessment, protective intelligence, global travel security, and crisis management, enabling sound judgment and informed decision‑making in dynamic conditions.
  • Exceptional executive presence and communication : Ability to engage credibly with the CEO, senior leaders, and Board‑level stakeholders while exercising discretion, professionalism, and clear communication.
  • Global situational awareness : Strong understanding of international legal frameworks, cultural considerations, geopolitical dynamics, and the operational realities of working across diverse global environments.
  • Cross‑functional partnership management: Proven ability to cultivate trusted relationships with executives, internal teams, and security partners to ensure seamless coordination and effective protective support.
  • Extensive executive protection leadership: 10+ years of progressively responsible experience in executive or dignitary protection, corporate security, or law enforcement, including building or transforming global programs within complex organizations.
  • Advanced risk, intelligence, and crisis expertise: Deep proficiency in protective intelligence, global travel security, threat assessment, and crisis management, supported by strong judgment, executive presence, and the ability to operate credibly at the CEO and Board level.
  • Global mobility and professional credentials: Willingness to travel internationally, often on short notice, with preferred qualifications such as CPP/PSP certifications, Fortune 100/Fortune 500 executive support experience, and familiarity with international security frameworks and technologies
