About The Position

The Director of Franchise Compliance is responsible for managing all aspects of franchise, legal and contractual compliance and adherence to Brand Standards for the system. This individual should possess strong leadership capabilities, extensive knowledge of industry regulations and standards, and a proven track record of successful project execution. As the Director of Franchise Compliance, you will play a vital role in ensuring our organization's compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, as well as overseeing franchise partner adherence to contractual obligations related to operating Burn Boot Camp gyms to the standard(s) and form outlined in all franchise contracts. The Director of Franchise Compliance will lead a team of compliance support personnel that will support new Franchise Commitments & Area Development Commitments, Resales & Transfers, and Franchise Renewals. The Director of Franchise Compliance will participate in the weekly Franchise Development meeting to continue supporting the cross functional aspects related to Franchise Sales, Real Estate-Site Selection, and Construction & Design, maintaining awareness of all activity and providing counsel and brand knowledge to support department initiatives and strengthen departmental knowledge and leadership growth.

  • Provide strong leadership to the compliance & contract steam fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and accountability.
  • Recruit, train, mentor, and develop team members, promoting their professional growth and ensuring a high level of performance.
  • Set clear goals and expectations, delegate responsibilities effectively, and monitor individual and team performance.
  • Foster a positive work environment, promoting open communication, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Provide counsel to functional and cross functional teams to assist/support brand growth and foster alignment and constructive outcomes between the Franchisor and Franchise Partners

  • Develop, implement, and manage an effective compliance program across the organization, ensuring adherence to relevant laws, regulations, and industry.
  • Support, Manage and enforce the Burn Boot Camp Operational brand standards.
  • Manage the Communication to the FPs, and leadership, of all infractions to the contractual and brand standards of the Brand.
  • Maintain & Manage documentation integrity in the maintenance and retention of all franchise documents, leases, and supporting documentation received, related to the FP relationship.
  • Monitor and evaluate compliance risks, identify areas of improvement, and implement corrective measures to mitigate potential compliance issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish policies, procedures, and training programs to promote compliance awareness and ethical business practices.
  • Collaborate with legal counsel, as needed.
  • Conflict resolution with FPs to adhere to Brand Standards and a path for them to remain compliant with their franchise contract(s).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align with operational requirements and business objectives.
  • Oversee vendor relationships and provide quarterly reviews.
