About The Position

Due to our continued expansion and growth, we now have an opportunity for a full-time Director of FP&A at our Headquarters located in Irvine, CA. The Director FP&A provides insights into the financial decision-making process through analysis, financial projections (planning, budgeting, and forecasting) and reporting. He/she acts as the day-to-day business partner to the Vortex management team.

  • Initiative-taking and able to work with minimal supervision to meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated hands-on approach and an ability to build and maintain strong effective business relationships in a team-based environment.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance master’s degree optional.
  • Extensive experience in FP&A with companies driving $300M+ in revenue through multiple locations.
  • Deep knowledge of Accounting and Finance

Responsibilities

  • Financial Planning and Analysis: Lead and own the financial budgeting and forecasting process (P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow)
  • Drive our monthly reporting deliverables for our Executive Management Team, Service Center Leadership and Private Equity Owners
  • Utilize Accounting & Finance technology systems to gather and analyze data related to employee accounting, financial performance, forecast, budgeting and reporting.
  • Generate reports and provide insights to support strategic decision-making within the Accounting & Finance department, the Executive Management Team and all P&L owners.
  • Drive executive level presentation materials that equip Senior Leadership with decision driving insights and inform Leadership of variance root causes, mitigation strategies and required business decisions
  • Financial Modeling: Proficiency in building and using financial models for scenario analysis.
  • Strategic Planning: Contribution to long-term strategic plans with financial insights.
  • Data Interpretation and Visualization: Skill in presenting complex financial data visually.
  • Advanced Excel Skills: Expertise in Excel functions, formulas, and pivot tables.
  • Ideally knowledgeable with Power Query
  • Business Acumen: Understanding of industry, market dynamics, and overall business operations.
  • Working in a highly acquisitive business, able to integrate data from less sophisticated acquired businesses
