Food Service Director Job Overview: The Food Service Director will direct and assist the preparation and serving of regular meals and therapeutic diets, order supplies and maintain the department and equipment in sanitary condition.
Requirements
- Graduate of an approved Dining manager's course required. Will consider if able to show confirmation of enrollment within 4 months from date of hire. An employee, who is uncertified but currently enrolled in Dining manager course or is to be enrolled during the next session, will carry the job title of Food Service Supervisor.
- Must be able to read, write and understand English.
- Must have basic knowledge of dietetic principles, food sanitation, and food service operation.
- Must be willing to work flexible hours.
- Must be willing to assist at another facility for coverage or help during an emergency; travel will be reimbursed.
Nice To Haves
- Supervisory experience preferred.
