Director of Financial Planning and Analysis Serve as a strategic finance partner in a fast-growing healthcare services organization. This is a hands-on, high-impact role responsible for financial modeling and budget, financial reporting and KPI development, but also for capital allocation discipline, ROI tracking and analysis. The role will help leadership understand the economic drivers of the business, deploy capital thoughtfully, evaluate growth and financing scenarios, and ensure financial decisions are supported by rigorous, transparent analysis. This position is hybrid, with three days a week working at our headquarters in Scottsdale, Arizona, and two days a week working remotely. Compensation Your compensation will be a combination of salary and annual bonuses. Your Experience, Background, and Skills Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field. 7+ years of experience in FP&A with strong preference for experience in both large and mid-sized companies. Advanced financial modeling skills, including scenario and sensitivity analysis. With an ability to translate data into stories. Experience building driver-based operating models. High attention to detail and model accuracy. Ability to clearly communicate complex financial concepts to non-financial leaders. Preferred Qualifications Experience in healthcare services, multi-site operations, and/or labor-driven businesses strongly preferred; , particularly in value-based care, or payer-driven models. Familiarity with healthcare revenue mechanics Experience supporting growth-stage or PE-backed environments. Experience preparing board-level financial materials. Prior experience within investment banking, private equity, or consulting. What You'll Own Partner with the Chief Financial Officer on all key FP&A processes including annual budget preparation, quarterly forecasting, reforecasting, variance and bridge analyses, and consolidations. Financial Planning, Modeling & KPI Architecture Build and maintain detailed financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and multi-year strategic planning. Partner with operations and clinical leadership to interpret and translate data into stories and actionable insights. Develop and maintain complex financial models tied to clinician capacity, productivity, utilization, margins, and payer reimbursement rates. Define, track, and refine operational and financial KPIs Proactively identify trends, risks, and opportunities through leading indicators and structured variance analysis. Deliver clear, driver-based explanations of performance to executive leadership. Financial Reporting Prepare monthly management reporting packages for executive leadership and PE sponsors and support board and investor materials, including variance analysis and performance commentary. Lead the update of our reporting and analytics packages in conjunction with an ERP implementation to Business Central Capital Allocation & ROI Governance Develop ROI models for all material capital investments, including IRR, payback, sensitivity, and downside scenarios. Support capital prioritization decisions by preparing comparative return analysis across competing uses of funds. Conduct post-investment reviews and analyze variance between projected and actual returns. Ensure capital decisions are supported by disciplined, decision-ready financial analysis. Strategic Decision Support Partner directly with operations and clinical leaders to ensure financial models reflect operational realities. Evaluate growth opportunities through structured financial modeling and scenario analysis. Support payer negotiations, pricing strategy, contract economics, and new program launches. Prepare concise, decision-ready materials for executive leadership and Board discussions. Improve and automate financial tools, models, and dashboards as the organization scales. Provide ad-hoc analysis to support strategic initiatives and operational decisions. Partner with accounting to align forecasts with actuals and ensure data integrity.
