About The Position

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES · Responsible for hiring, training, managing and evaluating fiscal and budget staff. · Oversee preparation, implementation, and revision of the government and private grant budget. · Improve and formalize budget procedures by creating detailed cost analysis by program and tasking program directors with oversight and responsibility for their portion of the budget. · Meet with CFO and program directors monthly to review revenue and expense analysis reports. functions. · Responsible for the preparation of various financial statements and reports with timeliness and accuracy. · Ensure timely completion of grant financial reporting and support documentation, and other fiscal documents including budget modification, continued funding applications, contract renewal etc. · Streamlined procedures for efficiency and implementing new policies to strengthen internal controls producing fewer errors and increasing accuracy and timeliness of reporting. · Ensure the accurate and timely monthly closing process. · Direct the maintenance of general and subsidiary ledgers, accounts receivable, revenue recognition, fixed asset depreciation, timely capturing operating expenses, and cash receipts. · Monitor cash flow status including bank reconciliation and investment reconciliation. · Oversee monthly review of program expenditures to ensure grant spending is within the scope of the grants and contracts and review financial statements with management personnel. · Work with the Chief Financial Officer to ensure complies with all funding agencies’ program Fiscal requirement. · Lead all internal, external and funder instructed fiscal audits involving review of accounting and administrative, and internal controls. · Establish, implementing, monitoring, and updating Fiscal policy and procedures to ensure internal control and to comply with GAAP, State, and Federal regulation and guidelines. · Oversee the maintenance of fixed assets, inventory supplies, and other related policies, procedures, and controls. · Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • CPA required.
  • Minimum Ten (10) years of experience in accounting/finance.
  • Must have department management experience and at least five (5) years of supervisor experience.
  • Sensitivity to cultural diversity is required. Ability to communicate and cooperate with diverse families, various professionals and community groups.
  • Ability to manage multiple demands simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Strong detail orientated and team player.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Solid problem-solving skills.
  • Must be able to work in a fast pace environment.
  • Committed and dedicated to meeting financial goals.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office tools and inputting services in an online database.
