POSITION SUMMARY: The Director of Finance serves as a strategic and execution oriented partner to the Senior Management team, supporting enterprise financial priorities, growth initiatives, and transformation objectives. This role bridges strategy and execution by building financial frameworks, driving accountability, and delivering complex analysis that informs executive decision making. The Director of Finance operates effectively in fast moving, ambiguous environments, translating strategy into measurable results while ensuring strong financial discipline, operational excellence, and high quality reporting across the organization.

Requirements

  • MBA or equivalent graduate degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field strongly preferred.
  • 4–6 years of post MBA experience, or equivalent professional experience, in corporate finance, investment banking, private equity, management consulting, or a highly analytical finance or strategy role.
  • Advanced financial modeling skills, including forecasting, scenario analysis, valuation, transaction modeling, and long range planning.
  • High level of digital fluency, including advanced Excel skills, comfort with analytics tools and dashboards, and practical familiarity with AI enabled tools.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe.
  • Demonstrated strong analytical capabilities with a high attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated executive presence, sound judgment, and ability to operate effectively with senior leaders in ambiguous environments.
  • Strong business planning skills to complete strategic projects with implications for business areas with rapidly evolving business processes.
  • Must possess a balanced perspective on strategic and tactical issues.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with a range of audiences including clients, front-line managers, and C-level leaders.

Responsibilities

  • Report directly to the CFO and assist in all aspects of Transwestern’s financial functions with emphasis on developing and implementing growth initiatives and capital allocation strategies among investment, development, and services businesses
  • Support CFO in overseeing accounting, FP&A, treasury, corporate finance, financial reporting, and risk management functions
  • Partner closely with CFO, Corporate Strategy Partner, Transformation Office and others in Senior Management to execute enterprise financial priorities, and transformation goals, providing both strategic insight and hands on execution support.
  • Drive accountability for transformation and strategic initiatives by tracking progress, reporting on outcomes
  • Build, maintain, and enhance complex financial models to support financial forecasting, scenario analysis, valuation analyses, transaction modeling, etc.
  • Analyze complex financial data and synthesize insights into clear, actionable recommendations to support executive decision making.
  • Prepare and present monthly and quarterly financial reporting packages for Senior Management, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and completeness.
  • Support day to day execution of executive initiatives by gathering data, organizing materials, building presentations, and ensuring smooth coordination across functional teams.
  • Leverage advanced proficiency in Excel and business productivity tools, including performance dashboards and collaboration platforms.
  • Apply AI enabled tools (e.g., generative AI, automation, decision support platforms) to improve productivity, financial analysis, and business outcomes.
  • Communicate complex financial and strategic information clearly and effectively, with strong executive presence.
  • Operate effectively in fast paced, evolving environments with sound judgment, discretion, and attention to detail.
