About The Position

Our client, ADAPP, has been dedicated to serving children, adults, and families within the schools, parishes, and communities of the Archdiocese of New York for more than 50 years. ADAPP provides innovative and comprehensive programs focused on prevention, counseling, and education to address the use of alcohol and other substances. What You Will Own: Develop and implement long-term financial strategies, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning. Oversee financial reporting and accounting processes in compliance with nonprofit GAAP standards. Ensure compliance with NYS Consolidated Fiscal Reporting System (CFRS), NYS Consolidated Budget Report (CBR), and state and federal grant regulations. Supervise administrative and operational areas, including human resources, IT, facilities, and vendor management. Collaborate with the Archdiocese of New York Department of Education Finance Department regarding cash flow, liquidity, and banking relationships. Lead and mentor the finance and operations teams, fostering accountability and continuous improvement. Work with the Archdiocese risk management team to ensure appropriate insurance coverage. Serve as the primary liaison to the Board of Directors and Finance & Audit Committee, presenting financial updates and insights. Evaluate and improve financial systems, automation, and operational processes to enhance efficiency.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years of management experience in finance or operations.
  • Experience working within a nonprofit organization.
  • Knowledge of nonprofit financial regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Experience with NYS CFRS, NYS CBR, and government grant reporting.
  • Familiarity with QuickBooks and Lawson
