We have a fantastic opportunity for a Director of Facilities to join our team. This is an opportunity to grow your career in an industry that is also growing. Our Facilities Director: Manages multiple aspects of Eastmont’s facilities (5+ buildings) which includes working closely with construction project manager and Executive Director on all phases of any project. Provides supervisory, technical and planning expertise in all areas of maintenance and construction on the campus. Reviews (with facilities manager) the OSHA/SDS safety binder and requirements to ensure compliance. Conducts regular inspections of the grounds, buildings and major equipment and report necessary findings to the Executive Director. Reviews and audits all incident reports as needed ensuring thorough and accurate information. Coordinates assignments for facilities crew. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must have 9 years’ experience in project management in the building construction trades or equivalent experience in building construction inspection, planning or design.
  • Supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Prior supervision of a facilities or maintenance team.
  • Familiarity with electricity, plumbing, carpentry and painting.
  • Familiarity with apartment complex and property building systems.
  • Capable of keeping confidential information and treating interactions and situations with tact, maturity and flexibility.
  • Excellent cusotmer service skills, including high resident and employee satisfaction.
  • Maintain flexibility with schedule and have occasional aility to be "on-call" for community emergencies.
  • Must have valid driver license and own transportation.
  • Individual must be organized, flexible, accommodating and make sound decisions.
  • Must have thorough knowledge of building construction processes and procedures, equipment, tools, materials, and their applications.
  • Must have thorough knowledge of the standards, codes and regulations pertaining to the construction and maintenance of structures and facilities to include building construction safety precautions.
  • Individual must possess strong communication skills and leadership abilities in order to work collaboratively with multiple disciplines.
  • We expect this person to work hands-on and be accessible when needed for a small staff.
  • Must be able to push, pull, carry up to 50 lbs.
