Protect Maine investors from fraud and unethical practices and provide guidance to licensed investment firms and professionals with the Maine Office of Securities, an agency within the Department of Professional and Financial Regulation. The Director of Examinations and Compliance leads our team of examiners in conducting examinations of Maine-licensed investment advisers, broker-dealers and their representatives and agents to ensure that these securities firms and professionals serve clients in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. The Director of Examinations and Compliance serves as a member of the Office's management team and helps develop Office policy on licensing, exams and enforcement.
