About The Position

Audio Visual Coordinator plans, sets up, operates, maintains and repairs equipment used to enhance events, such as microphones, video recorders, projectors, lightening and sound mixing equipment. He/She provides solutions related to presentations with video cameras, operate spotlights, adjust amplifiers, coordinate graphics used in displayed and provide technical support for teleconferences, webinars and distance-learning classes. This individual is the lynch pin for the client and their successful event.

Requirements

  • Hotel and conference service experience a must.
  • Experience with Audinate DANTE enabled equipment and software controller.
  • Prior experience with wireless audio equipment.
  • Professional appearance and ability to communicate directly with customers.
  • Possess the ability to train and educate customers on the proper use of equipment.  Knowledge of Crestron automation systems for lighting, projection and audio controls.
  • Knowledge of multimedia presentation systems and software
  • Experience with analog and VOIP conference telephones
  • The ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing in a professional but friendly manner in all situations.
  • The ability to be flexible and operate effectively under changing and challenging conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Attend meetings with prospective customers. Be able to provide solutions based on the customer's requirements and available hardware solutions.
  • Maintain weekly inventory of all AV fixed assets, noting condition, location and other prevalent information.
  • Transport, assemble, maintain and repair equipment used in multimedia productions.
  • Instruct customers on proper use of equipment.
  • Knowledge of projectors sound systems, wireless microphones and other related hardware.
  • Maintain inventory of spare parts, cables, connectors and other accessories.
  • Test and resolve equipment issues.
  • Send in equipment for repairs as needed.
  • Maintain schedule of equipment based on customer requirements.
  • Provide solutions to both keep technology current and reduce the need for rentals
  • Assist IT department in troubleshooting non network equipment issues and data patching to include but not limited to TV & phone signal establishment and office copier/printer issues
  • Train banquet houseman in proper deployment, use, storage and inventory of all equipment Assist in other areas as determined by management
  • Plan and direct functions of administration and planning of the Conference Services department to meet the daily needs of the operation as dictated to by the business on the books and management
  • Clearly describe, assign and delegate responsibility and authority for the operation of the various events support teams
  • Insure compliance with CSR policies and procedure that relate to a professional business environment. Insure compliance with local authority codes and standards
  • Hire, train, supervise, develop, discipline and counsel all AV team members according to CSR policies and procedures.
