About The Position

The Director of Enterprise Risk, Safety, and Compliance provides enterprise-wide leadership for proactive risk prevention, workforce and patient safety, and regulatory compliance across Vibra Healthcare hospitals, workforce environments, and corporate offices. This role is accountable for reducing organizational risk exposure, preventing avoidable incidents, ensuring regulatory adherence, and protecting enterprise reputation through early intervention, data-driven prevention, and disciplined compliance oversight. This position integrates risk management, safety, and compliance functions into a unified enterprise strategy. Rather than operating as a reactive claims or audit role, the Director drives front-end risk mitigation, strengthens compliance infrastructure, improves safety outcomes, and delivers measurable financial and operational value through reduced claims frequency, reduced regulatory exposure, and consistent enterprise standards.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience managing healthcare risk, claims, and regulatory compliance
  • Working knowledge of OSHA standards, recordkeeping, and reporting requirements
  • Experience partnering with regulatory agencies, carriers, brokers, and third-party administrators
  • Strong interpersonal, investigative, and analytical skills
  • Executive presence with ability to influence across clinical, HR, and operational teams
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work under pressure, and lead prevention-focused initiatives

Nice To Haves

  • Registered Nurse or Risk Management or Quality certifications preferred
  • Clinical certification and healthcare operations experience strongly preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, safety, or related field preferred

Responsibilities

  • Own enterprise-wide incident intake, review, triage, investigation, and escalation across all hospitals and corporate offices
  • Establish and enforce standardized incident reporting, documentation, and response timelines
  • Ensure timely identification, escalation, and documentation of OSHA recordable incidents
  • Immediately escalate fatalities and inpatient hospitalizations to meet OSHA notification requirements
  • Serve as enterprise owner for OSHA recordkeeping, reporting, posting, and audit readiness
  • Ensure accurate maintenance and retention of OSHA 300, 300A, exposure logs, and related documentation
  • Lead OSHA-related audits, investigations, regulatory responses, and leadership education
  • Analyze incident, safety, and claim data to identify trends, repeat exposures, and systemic risk drivers
  • Lead and support incident investigations and corrective action planning with hospital leadership
  • Design and implement prevention-focused initiatives that measurably reduce incident frequency and claims severity
  • Drive consistency in safety practices and training to reduce variability-driven risk across facilities
  • Manage General Liability, Professional Liability, and Workers’ Compensation claims from intake through resolution
  • Conduct proactive claim reviews, settlement evaluations, and financial exposure assessments
  • Partner with brokers, carriers, and third-party administrators to optimize outcomes and control costs
  • Identify early warning indicators of loss exposure and intervene prior to escalation
  • Deliver measurable reductions in claims severity, frequency, and total cost of risk
  • Provide direct oversight and strategic leadership for the Compliance Department
  • Ensure enterprise compliance with federal, state, and local healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and internal policies
  • Report compliance matters, trends, and material risks directly to the President and Chief Executive Officer
  • Oversee compliance monitoring, auditing, investigations, and corrective action processes
  • Ensure timely identification, escalation, investigation, and resolution of compliance concerns and allegations
  • Support development, maintenance, and enforcement of compliance policies, standards, and education programs
  • Strengthen compliance reporting, documentation, and governance to ensure audit readiness
  • Partner with Legal, Clinical, HR, and Operations to mitigate regulatory and reputational risk
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and value-added resource to hospital and executive leadership teams
  • Provide executive-level reporting, dashboards, and risk insights to senior leadership
  • Support enterprise governance, board reporting, and leadership education related to risk, safety, and compliance
  • Represent Vibra Healthcare with regulators, auditors, carriers, and external partners as needed
