Job Title: Director of Enterprise Architecture Reporting To: Senior Director of Architecture & Engineering Work Schedule: Hybrid - Buffalo, NY Moog's Corporate Group is looking for a Director of Enterprise Architecture to join our Technology Team! The Director of Enterprise Architecture is a senior technology leader responsible for shaping and governing the enterprise-wide technology and digital architecture that enables scalable manufacturing, engineering excellence, and long-term business growth. In this role, you will define the future-state architecture for a complex manufacturing organization - spanning engineering, product lifecycle, manufacturing execution, supply chain, and digital platforms - while ensuring alignment to business strategy, operational resilience, cybersecurity, and regulatory requirements. You will lead the evolution of Moog's enterprise architecture practice, enabling digital thread, model-based engineering, platform modernization, and data-driven decision making across a global, highly regulated manufacturing environment. You will partner closely with executive leadership, engineering, IT, and data and digital product teams to translate strategy into actionable, future-ready architecture. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (Master's preferred).
  • Over 15 years of progressive experience in enterprise technology, architecture, or engineering systems.
  • Over five (5) years in senior leadership roles guiding enterprise-scale architecture and transformation initiatives.
  • Deep experience with ERP, PLM, MES, CAD, manufacturing, and supply chain systems.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF or equivalent) applied pragmatically.
  • Experience modernizing legacy systems while enabling cloud-native, API-driven, and modular architectures.
  • Knowledge of hybrid cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and enterprise SaaS ecosystems.
  • Familiarity with Agile, DevOps, and platform engineering operating models.
  • Ability to translate business and manufacturing strategy into executable architecture.
  • Strong executive presence with exceptional communication, influence, and stakeholder alignment skills.
  • Proven ability to lead through complexity, ambiguity, and change.
  • Track record of building architecture organizations that deliver measurable business outcomes.
  • Must live local to the Buffalo, NY area.

Responsibilities

  • Define and govern Moog's enterprise technology blueprint to align architecture with strategic business priorities.
  • Lead the development and evolution of the enterprise architecture roadmap, ensuring scalability, security, and innovation.
  • Establish and enforce architectural standards, governance frameworks, and design principles across platforms and projects.
  • Oversee the integration of enterprise systems including ERP, PLM, MES, CAD, and simulation platforms to support digital thread and model-based engineering.
  • Drive modernization of legacy systems and adoption of cloud-native, API-driven, event driven, and microservices-based architectures.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and guide strategic adoption to enhance Moog's digital maturity and competitive advantage.
  • Collaborate with business and technology leaders to translate complex needs into cohesive, high-impact architectural solutions.
  • Lead cross-functional architecture teams including enterprise, solution, application, and data architects.
  • Partner with platform, engineering, and digital enablement teams to ensure cohesive and interoperable technology solutions.
  • Support Agile and DevOps practices across architecture and engineering delivery teams.
  • Ensure architectural decisions support application performance, security, and compliance with internal and external standards.
  • Build and mentor a high-performing architecture organization with deep domain expertise.
  • Manage vendor relationships and external partnerships to expand architectural capabilities.
  • Optimize resource allocation and manage budgets to support architecture initiatives and enterprise transformation.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate technology risks across systems, platforms, and infrastructure.
