About The Position

The Director of Engineering will lead and oversee the entire engineering department, ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality products and solutions that align with the company’s strategic goals. This role requires driving innovation, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and managing cross-functional collaboration to meet project deadlines and business objectives. The Director will be responsible for setting technical direction, optimizing engineering processes, and mentoring engineering leaders and teams to maximize their potential. They will work closely with executive leadership to align engineering initiatives with broader organizational priorities and customer needs. Ultimately, this position is critical in shaping the company’s technology roadmap and maintaining a competitive edge in the industry.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in engineering roles with at least 5 years in a leadership or management position.
• Proven track record of successfully leading large engineering teams and delivering complex technical projects.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle, architecture, and modern engineering practices.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and develop engineering teams to deliver scalable and reliable software and hardware solutions.
• Define and implement engineering best practices, standards, and processes to improve efficiency and quality.
• Collaborate with product management, design, and other stakeholders to prioritize and plan engineering projects.
• Drive technical strategy and innovation to support current and future business needs.
• Monitor and report on engineering performance metrics, resource allocation, and project progress to senior leadership.
• Recruit, mentor, and retain top engineering talent to build a high-performing and motivated team.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, security protocols, and regulatory requirements.
• Manage budgets, timelines, and risk assessments related to engineering projects.
