About The Position

PA Inclusive is an agency that believes people with disabilities should live where, with who, and in what they want and that those who want to work can work in an area of their interest in a ‘typical’ job in the community. Work and living support services can and should be delivered to support them how they choose. The Director of Employment position will manage and administer all Employment programs of the agency including, but not limited to, the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation (OVR), ODP IDD Waiver, Autism Waiver, OLTL Waiver, as well as other programs related to employment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human service field (psychology, disability services, social services, business, education, or human service-related field), or
  • At least 2 years of experience with youth and/or adults with disabilities is required.
  • At least 2 years of experience in job placement services and support is required.
  • 2-3 years of supervising and/or supporting staff.
  • ACRES or CESP certified or be able to obtain ACRES or CESP certificate within 3 months of hire.
  • Leadership skills, mentoring and coaching of staff skills are required.
  • Goal-oriented, outcomes tracking ability and deliverable.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and other computer skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced office environment and as a member of a team.
  • Valid Driver’s License and Clean Driving Record.
  • Must Pass Child Abuse History, Criminal Record Check Clearances and FBI Fingerprint.
  • Must not be on excluded lists from State of PA Exclusion Lists for similar industries.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible to manage and oversee all employment programs through the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation (OVR), IDD Waiver, Autism Waiver, OLTL waiver, and other agency-developed programs including but not limited to Adult Employment, Pre-Employment Transition Services, and School District Contracts in all regions.
  • Responsible for developing employment programs throughout the agency and coordinating efforts with agency staff as necessary.
  • Ensure all files for employment programs are properly maintained (electronically & hard copies).
  • Conduct internal audits of files.
  • Spend approximately 20% of time spent in the field as needed to uphold contracted hours delivered.
  • Responsible to meet or exceed the budget of the department.
  • Responsible for obtaining new employment referrals through the Office of Vocation Rehabilitation and Support Coordination Organizations offices, schools, and enrollments for agency-developed programs. This includes working with Regional managers to ensure they are actively involved in this process.
  • Responsible to assist in creating and managing employment trainings and records.
  • Help to market and build the agency by attending community events such as fairs, walks, etc.
  • Attend Employment Coalition meetings, Right to Task Force meetings, and other meetings as directed and coordinate other staff to attend in your absence.
  • Responsible for coaching, mentoring and supervising assigned staff.
  • Serve as agency ‘Technical Specialist’ for all adult employment programs; work with Regional Supervisors and employment staff throughout the agency to ensure quality services.
  • Attend training programs, certificates, conferences, meetings as directed.
  • Assist with grant writing, proposal writing, and tracking of such.
  • Assist with recruiting and hiring to maintain the smooth operation of the department.
  • Serve as a member of the senior leadership team of the agency.
  • Other works related to employment programs.
