The New York City Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD) invests in a network of community-based organizations and programs to alleviate the effects of poverty and to provide opportunities for New Yorkers and communities to flourish. Through DYCD’s Workforce Connect division, the agency provides New Yorkers with paid work experiences, work readiness and occupational training, academic support, job placement services, and financial empowerment through a variety of programs, including those focused on youth (such as Summer Youth Employment Program and Work, Learn and Grow) as well as out-of-school, out-of-work (OSOW) community members. DYCD is seeking an experienced, proactive, results-oriented Director of Employer Engagement and Partnerships for the Workforce Connect division. The Director will be instrumental in managing existing employer relationships, driving new partnership opportunities, developing training and resources for contracted community-based organizations, and overseeing operations for a team that works citywide and cross-sector to further enhance DYCD’s workforce development efforts. The Director will manage three direct reports and work closely with the Senior Director to ensure effective delivery of program objectives.
