About The Position

Heartline Staffing, Strategic Talent Partners with Purple Cow Recruiting, is seeking an experienced Director of Emergency Services – Free Standing Emergency Department (FSED) to provide operational and clinical leadership across two FSED locations in San Antonio, Texas. The Director of Free-Standing Emergency Services assures service excellence, growth, development, personnel management, and resource allocation to ensure consistent, high-quality patient care. This role provides oversight of Emergency Services operations as well as ancillary departments including Imaging, Laboratory, Admitting, Security, Environmental Services, and Support Services. The Director is responsible for maintaining regulatory compliance, driving patient experience initiatives, supporting staff engagement, and ensuring efficient operational performance across both sites.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required
Minimum of 3 years of Emergency Services experience required
3+ years of leadership experience preferred
Active RN license required
ACLS required
PALS or ENPC required
BLS required

Nice To Haves

Master’s Degree in Nursing, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred

Responsibilities

Provide executive leadership for Free-Standing Emergency Department operations
Ensure consistent, high-quality patient-centered care across multiple FSED locations
Oversee staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation
