About The Position

The Director of Digital Workplace provides strategic, operational, and people leadership for ATI’s Digital Workplace function. This director oversees a team responsible for enterprise collaboration platforms, core workplace technologies, and the overall employee technology experience. This role ensures that core workplace technologies are stable, secure, user-centric, and aligned to the evolving needs of the business. The director proactively identifies opportunities to enhance the employee experience, establishes operational plans, guides technical roadmaps, and ensures the Digital Workplace team delivers secure, reliable, and innovative employee technology solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science, or related field of study, or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in enterprise information technology with 5+ years in leadership roles overseeing enterprise-scale digital workplace, endpoint, or collaboration technology functions.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage a technical function.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational leadership skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Expertise in workplace technologies
  • Strong financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and vendor management.
  • Proven ability to influence change, drive modernization, and deliver large-scale improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the Digital Workplace strategy aligned to ATI’s IT and business priorities.
  • Establish annual operational plans covering team structure, key initiatives, service targets, and maturity improvements.
  • Analyze business drivers and emerging industry trends to shape the future of workplace technology, including cloud productivity, endpoint modernization, identity, collaboration, and AI-driven solutions.
  • Contribute to broader infrastructure and IT strategy through cross-functional leadership.
  • Provide direct leadership, coaching, and development for Digital Workplace engineering teams.
  • Set performance expectations, conduct evaluations, and ensure alignment with ATI cultural and operational standards.
  • Build a high-performing team capable of delivering reliable, innovative workplace services.
  • Foster collaboration across IT functions
  • Ensure workplace technologies are reliable, secure, and meet user experience expectations.
  • Drive service improvements and proactively mitigate issues that impact employee productivity.
  • Identify and evaluate new technologies that improve how employees communicate, collaborate, and access information.
  • Sponsor change management efforts to ensure successful rollout and adoption of new tools.
  • Serve as a key liaison between Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, Applications, HR, Communications, and business leadership to ensure workplace technologies meet functional needs.
  • Ensure digital workplace systems comply with ATI security policies, audit requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Communicate roadmaps, service impacts, and upcoming changes to executive stakeholders.
  • Track financial performance, forecast resource needs, and ensure budget decisions support long-term operational stability and innovation.
  • Evaluate vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure cost-effective solutions.
