About The Position

The Director of Digital Fundraising leads the execution of American Bible Society’s digital fundraising strategy, with responsibility for driving sustainable revenue growth and strengthening supporter relationships across organic and paid digital channels, including email, SMS, web, and digital media. This role translates organizational priorities and supporter insights into disciplined, high-performing fundraising programs that balance revenue outcomes with long-term trust and engagement. The Director works in close collaboration with Development, Ministry Programs, and Analytics to deliver integrated, supporter-centered fundraising journeys, optimize conversion and retention, and ensure accurate forecasting, pacing, and performance management in support of ABS’s two-way transformational strategy.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Own the multi-channel digital fundraising strategy across organic and paid channels—including email, SMS, web, and digital media—with clear accountability for sustainable revenue growth, efficiency, new supporter acquisition, and donor file health in support of ABS’s annual revenue priorities.
  • Planning, Forecasting & Performance Management. Lead the annual digital fundraising plan and rolling execution calendars; deliver accurate monthly forecasts, revenue pacing, and performance readouts, and proactively recommend course corrections to meet fiscal-year goals.
  • Cross-Channel & Cross-Functional Alignment. Work collaboratively with Development, mass-mail fundraising leaders, Marketing, Ministry Programs, Technology, Finance, and Compliance teams to ensure coordinated multi-channel offers, aligned execution, and accurate campaign tracking.
  • Conversion, Testing & Fundraising Journeys. Drive fundraising performance optimization by improving donation forms and landing pages, maintaining a disciplined testing cadence across creative, offers, and channels, and strengthening second-gift, sustainer, and reactivation pathways.
  • Agency, Budget & Technical Oversight. Manage agencies and contractors; pace budgets; hold partners accountable to KPIs and timelines; and provide technical oversight to ensure accurate designations, system IDs, and backend setup for reliable reporting and analysis.
  • People Leadership & Capability Development. Mentor and develop staff to ensure high standards of quality, speed, and execution; maintain knowledge of nonprofit digital fundraising benchmarks; and build team capability through training, prioritization, and workload management.
