The Director, Digital is responsible for managing and optimizing technology platforms supporting member, provider, and broker interactions. This leader oversees the development, integration, and maintenance of digital portals, ensuring seamless data streaming and portal functionality. The role requires strategic planning, team leadership, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver high-quality digital experiences. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years in IT/digital roles, with at least 5 years in senior management

  • Deep experience in IT architecture, digital technology, and healthcare transactions
  • Proven leadership of large-scale technology programs ($10–20M+ budgets)
  • Strong people management and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Experience with Agile, DevOps, and other delivery methodologies
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic plans for digital portal technologies (member, provider, broker)
  • Oversee digital APIs, data streaming, and portal quality assurance
  • Manage claims appeals and legacy portal transitions
  • Ensure broker portal integration and client view functionality
  • Recruit, train, and coach IT staff; communicate job expectations and appraise performance
  • Plan, organize, control, and evaluate IT and electronic data operations for portals
  • Make strategic decisions to support business goals and objectives
