About The Position

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Diagnostic Imaging to lead imaging services within a healthcare facility. This role is responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving high standards of patient care, safety, and operational efficiency. The Director will provide leadership to imaging staff, manage resources, and implement best practices to enhance departmental performance.

Requirements

• Associate’s Degree required (Bachelor’s preferred)
• ARRT Certification required
• Minimum 5+ years of Diagnostic Imaging experience
• Minimum 1 year of Director-level or Imaging Leadership experience (required)
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
• Experience managing budgets, operations, and staff in a clinical setting

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare, Radiologic Sciences, or related field
• Prior experience in hospital or acute care imaging environment
• Proven track record in performance improvement and team leadership

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the Diagnostic Imaging department
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, safety, and accreditation standards
• Lead, mentor, and develop technologists, supervisors, and support staff
• Manage department scheduling, workflow, and staffing productivity
• Develop and manage budgets, capital equipment planning, and inventory control
• Implement quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives
• Collaborate with physicians, leadership, and interdisciplinary teams
• Ensure optimal patient experience and satisfaction
• Establish and enforce policies, procedures, and best practices
