Alliants Limited

About The Position

Join us as a Director of Delivery in our growing Product – Services team! At Alliants, we’re on a mission to transform every customer engagement into something exceptional. We believe in working smart together to push the boundaries of company culture and create future-proof customer experiences. Our Services organisation plays a critical role in executing complex, client-facing initiatives while supporting the evolution of our platforms and delivery models. Role Focus As Director of Delivery within our Product – Services team, you will own the end-to-end operational performance of Alliants’ deployment and training function from contract signature through to successful customer go-live. Your core mission is to build a global deployment engine capable of delivering the Alliants Experience Platform (AXP) at scale, with precision and repeatability. A primary focus of this role is to drive down cost-of-delivery through aggressive automation. This is a role for a leader who wants genuine ownership. You will line-manage a global team, set the automation agenda, act as the senior escalation point for complex customer and partner issues, and establish the governance that ensures pre-sales commitments are always deliverable.

Requirements

  • 12+ years in SaaS delivery roles, with at least 5+ years leading multidisciplinary teams (7+ direct reports, experience managing 20+ across a broader function) and a sustained track record of personally delivering complex enterprise programmes alongside management responsibilities.
  • Demonstrable experience owning and executing deployment automation strategy in a SaaS context — including both technical automation (API integrations, data pipelines) and workflow automation (project lifecycle triggers, action management tooling).
  • Deep, hands-on programme and project delivery capability: has personally delivered complex, enterprise-scale programmes alongside leadership responsibilities; certification (PMP, Prince2 or equivalent) or demonstrable equivalent experience at senior level.
  • Technical literacy across SaaS deployment: APIs (REST/SOAP), cloud infrastructure, data flows, delivery tooling, and AI proficiency — sufficient to own the automation strategy, challenge Engineering on feasibility, and build credible business cases for technical investment
  • Proven track record partnering with senior stakeholders across sales, product, and client organisations to align delivery commitments, manage expectations, and resolve executive-level escalations with credibility and confidence.
  • Demonstrated experience leading delivery teams with clear accountability for performance, proactively addressing challenges and supporting team members to achieve successful outcomes.
  • Proficiency with Salesforce as a delivery operations tool (pipeline reporting, project triggering from opportunity data); working knowledge of Jira and Atlassian tooling.

Responsibilities

  • Deployment Automation Execution
  • Real-Time Visibility Infrastructure
  • Training Commercialisation
  • Pre-Sales Governance
  • Lead, develop, and directly line-manage a global team of seven. This team includes Programme Managers, Project Managers, Technical Deployment Analysts, and Training/Readiness resources.
  • Act as the operational command centre for the deployment function. You will own the pipeline, drive accountability, and ensure every engagement is tracked and progressing at pace.
  • Deliver major customer programmes personally alongside your leadership responsibilities.
  • Own and execute Alliants' two-stream deployment automation strategy. This involves technical automation of data flows between Salesforce and AXP , as well as workflow automation of the project delivery lifecycle.
  • Establish real-time deployment visibility tooling that surfaces pipeline status, active blockers, and root causes.
  • Drive the deployment pipeline to reduce time-to-value, accelerate revenue recognition, and ensure cost-of-delivery remains within profitable bounds.
  • Own the training strategy by evolving the Alliants Online University offering and building a contractor-based external training delivery model.
  • Establish and enforce consistent delivery governance and project management frameworks. You will also own the pre-sales delivery boundary, building trusted peer relationships with the Sales VP team to ensure everything sold is deployable.
  • Serve as the senior escalation point for complex customer, partner, and internal delivery issues, bringing VP/CIO-level gravitas to difficult conversations.

  • Travel opportunities Regular visits to HQ or client site for client meetings and alignment conversations.
  • Nomad-friendly working: Flexibility to work remotely from different locations
  • High autonomy & trust: A role designed for independent operators, with clear ownership, minimal micromanagement, and direct impact on day-to-day delivery.

  • A warm welcome: To celebrate you joining Alliants, we’ll plant a Great Oak tree in your honour.
