About The Position

The Director of Delivery serves as Ten Adams’ senior owner of delivery success, accountable for ensuring the agency consistently delivers client value in a way that is scalable, profitable and sustainable. This role achieves outcomes through leadership of the team, setting standards, providing direction and ensuring delivery systems, resourcing, and decision-making enable teams to execute effectively. While Project Managers own day-to-day project execution, the Director is accountable for delivery health, performance and results across the agency. The Director of Delivery partners closely with Operations, Account Service and Finance leadership to surface risk early, make informed tradeoff decisions, and intervene at the system or client level when delivery is misaligned to goals, capacity or financial targets.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of project management experience, ideally within a marketing or creative agency environment.
  • Proven success managing complex, cross-functional campaigns across channels and disciplines.
  • Expertise in operational finance, utilization management, forecasting and agency-level resourcing.
  • Advanced experience with work-management platforms such as ClickUp, Workamajig, Advantage or similar.
  • Strong analytical ability to interpret performance data and drive operational decisions.
  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to mentor, motivate and inspire teams.
  • Excellent communication, conflict resolution and decision-making skills.
  • Organized, detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Highly collaborative with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Ability to adapt processes, anticipate needs and recommend strategic solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Delivery Strategy, Client Value and Project Health
  • Serve as the source of truth on delivery health across all clients, informed by inputs from the Project Management team.
  • Maintain accountability for delivery health per client, including quality, pace, staffing alignment, margin performance and risk exposure.
  • Ensure delivery is treated as a core component of the client experience, not just as internal execution.
  • Partner with senior leadership to evaluate and enhance agency-wide workflow practices, service offerings and cross-department alignment.
  • Shape how Ten Adams delivers work by influencing service models, delivery approach and engagement structures aligned with operational goals.
  • Partner with Operations, Account Service and Finance leadership to ensure delivery strategy aligns with growth plans and targets.
  • Guide agency-wide resourcing strategy and staffing outlook in partnership with leadership.
  • Collaborate with discipline and department leads to improve end-to-end workflow mapping and reduce friction between teams.
  • Project Management Oversight and Team Leadership
  • Achieve delivery outcomes through leadership of the Project Management team, ensuring PMs operate as delivery leaders, not task administrators.
  • Lead and evolve the project management discipline, setting clear standards for estimating, scoping, timelines, communication and delivery excellence.
  • Hold Project Managers accountable for proactive risk identification, clear reporting and execution.
  • Ensure consistent adoption of agency project management tools, frameworks and best practices that support successful delivery outcomes.
  • Coach and mentor Project Managers to manage complexity, surface delivery concerns early and make strategic recommendations.
  • Build a collaborative and high-performing delivery culture grounded in accountability, communication and continuous improvement.
  • Capacity Planning, Resource Strategy and Margin Protection
  • Own agency wide delivery capacity and staffing strategy, ensuring workloads, staffing models and delivery approaches are aligned to current and projected demands.
  • Own delivery margin accountability in partnership with Finance and Account Service.
  • Guide and approve decisions between scope, staffing, quality and pace to protect both client outcomes and profitability.
  • Lead weekly and monthly resourcing reviews to evaluate capacity risks and adjust assignments accordingly.
  • Project and Campaign Execution
  • Own a limited but intentional billable portfolio focused on high complexity engagements, strategic or high-risk clients, and pilots for new service models or delivery approaches.
  • Provide senior-level oversight for high-priority, high-complexity or at-risk client engagements led by the PM team.
  • Support PMs in resolving escalated delivery challenges, scope conflicts or resource constraints.
  • Ensure delivery decisions across clients remain aligned to agency standards and client values.
  • Use direct client work to inform improvements to delivery systems, PM practices and frameworks.
  • Delivery Intelligence, Reporting and Leadership Decision Support
  • Ensure leadership has clear visibility, early warnings and defensible delivery insights.
  • Provide regular delivery health reporting to leadership, including client-level delivery risk, capacity vs demand and margin performance.
  • Surface early warnings related to client dissatisfaction or churn risk, team burnout and margin erosion in partnership with account.
  • Deliver data informed recommendations on service model changes, engagement structures, delivery capacity and growth plans, pricing and scoping approaches.
