About The Position

The Director of Data Analytics will support the implementation of the Leadership Academy Network through the creation, direction and continuous improvement of the Network's Data Management and Analytics system. The Director of Data Analytics will lead the Network's efforts to leverage data to implement a model that supports teacher and principal quality, assess program fidelity, differentiate compensation and translate data into information for a myriad of stakeholder groups. The Director of Data Analytics will complete a diverse set of tasks that support the goals and mandates of the Leadership Academy Network within the leadership of the Network's Chief Network Officer. This position will build, oversee implementation and manage the Network's Strategic Compensation Program, Data Dashboard(s) and Reporting Systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required. Master's in Education or related field preferred. Three years of program evaluation experience or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience which provides the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:
  • Knowledge of best practices in project management and program evaluation, including strategic planning, resource allocation, data management techniques, and coordination of resources.
  • Knowledge of data information systems, data analysis and the formulation of action plans.
  • Knowledge of evaluation systems, human resource administration, and strategic compensation plan
  • Knowledge in data management (monitoring, collecting, and reporting)
  • Skill in judgment and creativity in decision-making, together with use of qualitative and quantitative data to make Network recommendations
  • Ability to prepare publications, documents, reports, and communication materials for mass distribution
  • Ability to be creative and innovative in implementing the Strategic Compensation Plan and procedural changes required by it.
  • Ability to establish program goals and objectives that support the Strategic Compensation Plan and develop and implement plans in all areas of the Network.
  • Ability to use computer network system and software applications as needed.
  • Ability to organize multiple tasks and implement effective time management techniques.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing with campus employees, community, and stakeholders
  • Ability to engage in self-evaluation regarding performance, and professional growth.
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with others contacted during work.
  • Awareness of K-12 Education systems/organizations, teacher quality/pay-for-performance policy issues, and leadership effectiveness.

  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw/interpret graphs.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to investigate, analyze data and draw conclusions.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in K-12 education preferred
  • Experience in leading complex programs/projects with responsibility and oversight for program evaluation, data analysis and reporting
  • Experience implementing a Strategic Compensation Plan or similar model, preferably in urban K-12 environment preferred
  • Experience in data information systems; experience with database management and reporting/visualization tools preferred (e.g., SQL Server, SSRS, Looker Studio)
  • Experience with Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) preferred

Responsibilities

  • Oversee LAN data Processes and protocols; facilitate professional learning communities and professional development of all LAN campus data leaders
  • Coordinate with FWISD Transformation & Accountability regarding Data Analytic Projects as well as state and district testing needs
  • Develop and manage Program Evaluation tools to ensure fidelity of program and partnerships
  • Liaise with FWISD and TEA regarding the LAN TIA (Teacher Incentive Allotment) Program
  • Oversee payout amounts based upon performance related to defined metrics for LAN campus administration and staff
  • Ensure management of TIA by coordinating program implementation, stakeholder engagement/communication, and continuous improvement
  • Analyze, monitor, and evaluate existing programs (internal/external); make recommendations and develop strategies for continuous improvement, implementation and execution
  • Research and make recommendations for compensation systems, evaluation systems, professional development, and selection procedures based on wide review and analysis of other national/local programs
  • Maintain LAN data systems and analyze data to make Network recommendations
  • Supports LAN Senior Officer with data reporting to internal and external partners
  • Assist Academic Directors with design and administration of local assessments and prepare regular reports on school performance data to network staff, campus staff, and outside stakeholders
