About The Position

The Director of Convenience Store Sales is responsible for driving profitable growth within the Convenience Store Sales channel. The position is responsible for developing and executing a strategic sales plan for our current and targeted new customers. The position reports to the Chief Customer Officer and works closely with marketing, R&D, Business Development and Project Management to deliver on customer expectations. Position is responsible for achievement of volume, revenue, and profit contribution for assigned customers. Position is responsible for providing a best in class customer experience for all current and targeted customers. This position is key in expanding our handheld offerings in our WLF catalog.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent is preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of Convenience Store Sales channel with a demonstrated track record of delivering results.
  • Protein/Meat industry experience is preferred.
  • Sales experience with 7-Eleven, Circle K, Casey's, Kwik Trip, Wawa, Maverick would be ideal
  • Must be able to problem solve.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications.
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced environment and adjust quickly to changing demands.
  • Ability to lead, motivate and develop others.
  • Must be able to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
  • Candidates must successfully pass the post-offer/pre-employment drug test, background screen and physical.

Responsibilities

  • Sales and Customer Development Research and Identify appropriate target customers.
  • Build relationships with targeted customer decision makers via in person and virtual meetings, presentations, industry events, shows, and conferences.
  • Work with marketing to provide consumer and industry insights based on customer needs.
  • Provide analysis and reporting on business results versus established objectives.
  • Leverage prior experience and customer contacts.
  • Oversea development and execution of customer agreements, contracts, and information requirements.
  • New Product Development Work as project champion with a cross functional team to develop product concepts to meet customers needs.
  • Coordinate and communicate with customers on product specifications, pricing, and sample requirements.
  • Communicate customer input to cross functional WLF teams.
  • Work with marketing on coordination of packaging development.
  • Communicate production plans and timing with customers.
  • Marketing Activity Work with marketing to identify customer research and insights needs and coordinate dissemination to customers.
  • Coordinate with marketing to develop engaging customer presentations.
  • Administration Manage input and upkeep of all customer activity in Salesforce.
  • Keep the internal team updated on active customer projects.
  • Manage travel and related expense budgets
  • All other duties as assigned.
