About The Position

Daily Wire is seeking a Director of Consumer Insights to lead how we understand our audience and translate insights into stronger products, shows, and user experiences. This role owns our qualitative research strategy end-to-end, with a focus on continuous learning rather than one-off studies. The ideal candidate brings strong research rigor, expertise in survey design and sampling, and the ability to clearly communicate insights, limitations, and confidence levels to drive informed decision-making across the organization.

Requirements

  • 5–8 years of experience in consumer insights, user research, or a related field
  • Extensive hands-on experience with qualitative research methods, including interviews, focus groups, diary studies, and mixed-method approaches
  • Strong quantitative literacy, including survey design, sampling strategy, and interpretation of imperfect or small data sets
  • Experience managing external research vendors and budgets
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present insights clearly to senior stakeholders
  • Excellent judgment, organizational skills, and a practical, outcome-oriented mindset
  • Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally and work effectively with senior leaders

Responsibilities

  • Design and lead a year-round consumer research program delivering clear, decision-ready insights across podcasts, original programming, product features, marketing, and the member experience
  • Own and execute qualitative research initiatives, including ongoing and ad hoc surveys, concept testing, and targeted deep dives
  • Apply strong qualitative expertise with quantitative literacy to design surveys, manage sampling tradeoffs, and guide teams on appropriate data interpretation and limitations
  • Build and manage beta and research communities, including recruiting, segmentation, incentives, and ongoing engagement, while minimizing bias and over-reliance on convenience samples
  • Determine when research should be conducted in-house versus externally; scope, manage, and evaluate external research vendors to ensure quality, rigor, and efficiency
  • Partner closely with Data Science & Analytics, Product, Content, Marketing, and executive leadership to align research with business priorities
  • Synthesize research findings into clear, actionable narratives and present insights to senior leaders to inform real decisions
  • Set and maintain a high bar for research rigor, methodology, and ethical standards across all consumer insights work
