The Director of the Office of Community Values provides strategic leadership for Colby College’s student conduct and academic integrity systems, overseeing the fair and equitable adjudication of policy violations. By integrating restorative practices, conflict resolution, and educational growth, the Director ensures individual accountability while cultivating a safe, inclusive campus culture rooted in shared community standards and holistic student support. Colby College seeks an experienced and strategic leader to oversee the Office of Community Values within the Dean of the College Division. Reporting to the Dean of Students, the Director provides leadership for student conduct and academic integrity processes, ensuring responses to alleged violations of the Student Code of Conduct are fair, equitable, and grounded in restorative and educational principles. The Director manages the full lifecycle of conduct cases, including intake, investigation, and resolution; serves as a hearing officer for complex cases; and trains and advises student board members. Working closely with campus partners, the Director integrates restorative practices and conflict resolution into conduct processes while supporting students through accountability and growth. The role also includes maintaining accurate case records, communicating expectations and outcomes to stakeholders, and serving as a key member of the Behavioral Intervention team (BIT) and CARE Team to coordinate holistic support strategies for students in distress.
