The Director of Community Philanthropy is responsible for building, expanding, and sustaining philanthropic relationships beyond Goodwin Living’s internal donor base of residents, family members, and team members. This role designs and executes strategies to engage individuals, corporations, foundations, faith communities, civic organizations, and other external partners who share a commitment to enriching the lives of older adults. Working collaboratively with the Chief Philanthropy Officer and Foundation team, the Director of Community Philanthropy will grow new donor pipelines, steward community‑based relationships, and secure philanthropic support that advances Goodwin Living’s mission, strategic priorities, and long‑term sustainability. This position requires an active, visible community presence throughout Northern Virginia and Washington, D.C. Remote work would be an option for a candidate living in one of those two areas.
