About The Position

Summary The Director of Community Enrichment upholds the EverTrue mission of "Older Adults Living Life to the Fullest" by coordinating the community activities, lifestyle enrichment events and programs, and wellness initiatives. Essential Functions Coordinates for residents and the various service departments of the entire Life Plan Community to provide a high quality of service Assists in facilitating new residents’ transitions once they have moved into the Community and orients new residents on Community life and services available to them through orientation programs and events such as social happy hours and educational presentations; Solicits ongoing feedback from sales staff regarding expectations of prospective residents. Provides team leadership in promoting the 6 aspects of wellness (i.e. environmental, physical, emotional, spiritual, intellectual, and social) and coordination of all special functions encompassing all levels of care; Directly supervises employees working in areas such as Community Wellness, Lifestyle Enrichment, Music Therapy, etc.; Coordinates with other departments such as Pastoral Care, Social Services, etc. Serves as a resource person and gives general oversight to the various lifestyle and wellness programs and projects developed by and/or for all residents May hold the responsibility of coordinating their Community’s volunteer program in conjunction with a designated member of the EverTrue Volunteer and Community Engagement team, which may include determining volunteer needs, onboarding and orientation, record-keeping, evaluation and retention of the volunteers May facilitate and assist the resident council for Independent Living and Assisted Living in the community Manages resident wellness staff and oversees the management of equipment and pool areas Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. 1 – 3 years’ experience working in senior living with demonstrated leadership skills A post-secondary degree in a related field such as Social Work, Business, Gerontology, Therapeutic Recreation, Hospitality, etc. preferred Must possess the skills necessary to deliver extraordinary customer service and person-centered care, demonstrate a high degree of creativity and resourcefulness, strong organizational and leadership skills and abilities, strong verbal and written communication skills for engaging with employees, residents, and families, proficient computer skills Physical Requirements and Working Conditions The physical requirements and working conditions described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The employee may help with moving residents in wheelchairs, setting up tables and chairs and other supplies and equipment used for activities, lifting up to 40 pounds on occasion and pushing/pulling a maximum force of 30 pounds. The work environment is well-lighted and ventilated and has its own temperature control system (air conditioning and heat). Is subject to exposure to infectious waste, diseases, conditions, etc., including TB and the Aids and Hepatitis B viruses. May be subject to hostile and emotionally upset residents, family members, etc. May work beyond normal working hours when necessary, including evenings and weekends; Participates in the manager-on-duty rotation for weekend coverage. Requirements
