We are searching for the best talent to join our team as a Director of Communications, Mentor Worldwide. This is a hybrid in-person role based in Irvine, California. The Director of Communications, Mentor Worldwide will serve as a valued counselor to the global platform leadership team while also partnering with a cross-functional teams and teams in regions to advance organizational priorities, drive strategy alignment, and achieve commercial goals. This role will be required to build a deep understanding of the business, technology development and strategy, and market opportunities that will inform an integrated global communications and marcomms plan. This will be a highly visible role as you will work in close collaboration with functional colleagues around the world, including Global Strategic Marketing, Brand Marketing, Region Commercial, MedTech global communications, Human Resources, Legal, Johnson & Johnson leadership, and more. This role requires a forward-thinking, strategic leader who challenges the status quo in aesthetics and reconstructive surgery space. This leader must be comfortable working in dynamic, fast-paced environments with multiple internal and external partners to consider. A successful candidate will also demonstrate strong executive presence and the ability to thoughtfully advise top executives. The position will lead a team of communicators and independently lead project teams of agency professionals on both an ongoing and as needed basis.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Public Affairs, or closely related field (required).
  • Minimum 10 years leading communications in a corporate, government, or agency environment (required).
  • Experience in healthcare and/or consumer health communications (required).
  • Demonstrated success in content strategy, media relations, digital and social channels, and integrated communications campaigns.
  • Strong track record of independently driving high‑impact communication programs across multiple audiences.
  • Exceptional writing and presentation development skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong influence, relationship‑building, and executive‑level communication capabilities.
  • Deep understanding of media analytics, content strategy, and brand and marketing communications
