About The Position

Glenville State University invites applications from individuals interested in a full-time, tenure-track position as Director of Clinical Training for the anticipated Master's degree in Clinical Psychology. The position will begin in Summer/Fall 2026, dependent upon candidate availability. The successful candidate will work closely with existing faculty to launch a low residency master's program in fall 2026.The successful applicant is expected to be the designated leader of the program. As leader of the program, the Director of Clinical Training will be responsible for the arrangement and evaluation of clinical training experience, including maintaining communication with each external training site. The Director of Clinical Training will work with program faculty to implement and evaluate the program's administrative activities (e.g., policies and procedures for student admissions, student evaluations), and for overseeing its educational offerings (e.g., coursework, clinical training experiences, and research training).

Requirements

  • An earned PhD or PsyD in Clinical psychology from an APA accredited institution (including completion of an APA accredited internship) is required
  • Professional licensure (or license eligible) in West Virginia.
  • Applicants should have teaching experience in in-person and online course delivery.

Nice To Haves

  • At least two years' experience with academic administration is preferred, but otherwise qualified candidates with less than two years' experience in administration of academic programs may be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Teach the equivalent of 6 hours per semester, the majority of which will consist of graduate courses in Clinical Psychology.
  • Supervise and contribute to student professional development through advising and assistance.
  • Engage in scholarly and professional activity.
  • Attend to administrative duties (i.e., serve on institutional committees)
  • Monitor and evaluate clinical trainings and student programs.
  • Actively engage in recruitment and retention efforts.
  • With faculty input, determine which courses will be offered in-person and which online as well as the best format for in-person courses (intensive one- or two-week courses, weekends, and/or summer terms) and for online courses (asynchronous or synchronous).
