About The Position

Our Home Study and Post Release Services (HS/PRS) program is dedicated to making a significant impact on the lives of unaccompanied children aged 0 - 17 1/2. Referred through shelters or trust foster care providers, these children rely on our continuous support throughout their journey from the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) to their parents or sponsors. We can guide and empower these children and sponsors through an unfamiliar system, which makes a great difference. Under the supervision of the Vice President of HS/PRS, the Director of Clinical Services will provide clinical oversight to the HS/PRS Clinical team. This staff will work closely with the Vice President to ensure the delivery of robust, patient-centered, and culturally sensitive practice.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Social Work or related field; LMSW, LCSW, LMFT, LMHC, LCAT - required
  • Experience and/or knowledge of home studies and/or Post Release Services and writing professional, thorough assessment reports
  • Two years of postgraduate or direct service experience
  • Experience providing supervision - required
  • Ability to work well with people from many cultures, including recent immigrants, non-English speakers, and LGBTQ children
  • All agency documents and record are in English, so English writing proficiency is required
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams applications
  • Valid Driver's License in a state located withing the assigned region and personal/reliable vehicle to conduct tasks/assignment - required

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all treatment planning and delivery for Unaccompanied Children and their families
  • Provide ongoing individual and group coaching sessions to staff to process complex cases and best practices.
  • Provide mental health crisis intervention
  • Provide oversight for training all clinical hires to ensure they are versed in the clinical approaches
  • Provide clinical expertise and be directly responsible for the management of clinical staff
  • Provide guidance and coaching to all clinicians during bi-weekly meetings
  • Provide and coordinate all needed diagnostic services if LCSW, provide clinical supervision for staff to receive licensure
  • Provide record-keeping and documentation for all clinical activities (case documentation)
  • Engage effectively with people from a wide range of cultural background, including newly arrived immigrants, multilingual communities, and LGBTQIA+ children
  • Participate in community liaison activities as needed
  • Work with vendors and stakeholders to provide needed clinical services
  • Oversee and assist with competing reports, referrals, and other requirement documentation
  • Conduct quality checks/audits of files/CORE/Portal
  • Hold weekly individual supervision meetings with clinicians on their team
  • Provide around-the-clock on-call clinical support and guidance to clinical staff
  • Provide clinical guidance and support to the case management team as needed
  • Ensure patient-centered and culturally sensitive practice
  • Respond positively and respectfully to diversity among the agency's service populations
  • Ensures adherence to all applicable county, state, and other regulations
  • Oversee and ensure the clinical team meets and comply with the agency, federal, and state mandates
  • Oversee the assignment of case referrals
  • Perform various administrative or executive support tasks that are highly confidential and sensitive
  • Ensure children and their families are provided with community-based services with trauma-informed lens
  • Complete other duties as assigned by supervisor, program leadership, and agency leadership
