About The Position

Our team members work with our patients to help in the recovery and treatment process to restore to a better quality life through their individual plans, group therapy and overall stay at our facility. Position: The Clinical Director is responsible the Assessment & Referral and Clinical Services Department. The Assessment & Referral department performs patient call backs, take inbound phone calls, collecting all pertinent clinical data, and perform pre-registration and insurance eligibility functions. Documents all call activities. Works closely with the Psychiatrist providing data for all possible admissions. Works within the Business Development Team, participating in marketing planning and events. Responsible for providing excellent customer service, participating in team events and working closely management to improve processes. The Clinical Services department is responsible for all clinical treatment programs of patients receiving treatment for psychiatric and substance abuse issues in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Treatment includes Psychosocial assessments, treatment groups, treatment plans and treatment team meetings. The Clinical Services department complete discharge planning to ensure an optimal post hospital transition.

Requirements

  • A Master’s Degree
  • Licensed as an LSW, LISW, LPCC or LMFT
  • Experience in behavioral health with knowledge of psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment principles

Responsibilities

  • Oversight of Assessment & Referral and Clinical Services Departments
  • Maintain good relationships with community referral and resources
  • Ensure admission flow is consistent, removing barriers to admission
  • Ensure that hospital approved programs are implemented and provided consistently.
  • Provide oversight to the therapists and provide feedback through the performance evaluation process and, if necessary, through counseling.
  • Ensure that all interventions (individual, group, and family therapy) are performed and documented according to professional clinical standards.
  • Attend treatment team meetings on a regular basis.
  • Oversight of Discharge Coordination & Aftercare Planning
  • Actively participate in survey activities (TJC, Medicare, and licensing).
  • Coordinate performance improvement and complete monthly reporting.
  • Actively participate in the complaint resolution process as needed.
  • Collaborate with leadership team members on all matters related to hospital operations.
