About The Position

The Director of Business Transformation will be a key member of the Transformation Office responsible for managing and delivering on the company's critical transformation programs. Akumin is looking to transform the outpatient radiology space through autonomous workflows. Specific duties include, but are not limited to: You will be responsible for planning & execution of critical initiatives working with cross-functional teams & vendors. Detailed oriented and meticulousness in planning the initiatives with target dates, KPIs to measure success, & resource planning. Establish a strong operating mechanism to monitor and control initiatives including tracking progress against plans, managing risks, removing barriers & keeping stakeholders apprised. Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in engineering, health & life sciences, or business administration
  • 5+ years of experience in a healthcare industry leading programs or key initiatives from planning to execution.
  • Ability to navigate in a matrixed organization and lead by influence, strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working with PACS or RIS systems.
  • Inspirational Leadership: Someone who inspires others and creates an atmosphere of collaboration to produce excellent results. This leader must be an “influencer” who can create followership and rally people around a strong vision to drive change.
  • “Ownership” Mindset: A strong candidate will have an ownership mentality who understands that they must work cross functionally to drive results. Someone who is a “problem-solver” that brings solutions and a “can-do” approach.
  • Independent & Self-driven: Someone who has the experience to engage at all levels of the organization including with Senior Management. Self-driven and goal-oriented, a detailed individual, who can be direct and influence key stakeholders across all levels. An excellent communicator.
  • Results-Focused: Someone who measures their success through tangible results and will hold others in the organization accountable to the same metric of success. A strong candidate will also have the ability both to think strategically, but also to get granular and tactical where necessary to deliver results.
  • Role requires strong management execution and organizational skills.
  • Ambiguity & Change: This leader will be responsible for driving significant change and will have to model an ability to pivot and re-plan where necessary. A strong candidate will be able to take ambiguous areas and bring clarity and direction.
