The Director of Business Analysis is a strategic leader responsible for aligning business needs with technology initiatives across the organization. Reporting directly to the Chief Information Officer (CIO), this role leads the Business Analysis function, overseeing business process improvement, digital transformation planning, and stakeholder collaboration to ensure IT investments deliver measurable business value. This individual will drive a team of business analysts in identifying operational inefficiencies, defining system requirements, and delivering actionable insights to accelerate enterprise performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in business analysis, digital transformation, or IT strategy roles.
  • At least 5 years of experience managing a business analysis or solutions delivery team.
  • Proven success working in cross-functional, enterprise-level IT projects (ERP, CRM, automation, etc.).
  • Experience with business systems such as ERP, CRM, and BI platforms (Power BI, Tableau, SQL, etc.).
  • Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, and/or hybrid project delivery methodologies.
  • Exposure to enterprise architecture, integration platforms, and system design concepts.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills; able to influence across levels.
  • Exceptional communication-able to distill complex concepts for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to execution.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and managing priorities in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a key advisor to the CIO on business process optimization, data strategy, and digital transformation efforts.
  • Drive business analysis efforts that align with IT strategy and the broader organizational goals.
  • Develop and maintain a business analysis roadmap that supports enterprise initiatives, including software implementation, automation, and data modernization.
  • Lead, mentor, and grow a team of business analysts; define performance metrics, workflows, and development plans.
  • Establish and enforce standardized practices for requirements gathering, stakeholder engagement, and business case development.
  • Promote cross-training and collaboration between business analysts, project managers, solution architects, and data teams.
  • Collaborate with business unit leaders to understand challenges, elicit requirements, and define solutions that improve outcomes.
  • Translate complex business needs into clear, testable requirements and partner with technical teams to deliver aligned solutions.
  • Facilitate workshops, discovery sessions, and stakeholder interviews to ensure end-to-end understanding.
  • Support enterprise application selection, implementation, and enhancement projects through expert-level business analysis.
  • Collaborate with internal project managers, developers, and QA to ensure that technology solutions meet documented business requirements.
  • Provide input on vendor selection, RFPs, and systems evaluation based on defined business needs.
  • Champion data integrity, process documentation, and change control best practices across initiatives.
  • Develop frameworks to measure business value and track ROI for IT-related investments.
  • Maintain business analysis templates, tools, and repositories in alignment with IT governance standards.
