The Virginia Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ) protects the public by preparing court-involved youth to be successful citizens. DJJ is committed to excellence in public safety by providing effective interventions that improve the lives of youth, strengthening both families and communities within the Commonwealth. The role of the Behavior Services Unit Treatment Director is to administrate, direct and supervise the provision of mental health, substance abuse, sex offender, aggression management, and evaluation services to residents at the Bon Air Juvenile Correctional Center (JCC) in order to promote their well-being and rehabilitation as well as reduce the likelihood of recidivism. This position requires an advanced degree and licensure as a clinical psychologist, and in addition, may require advanced training or certification in a recognized specialty.
