About The Position

Qualifications Include: Maintain an unencumbered current license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse in the State of Louisiana. Must have current First Aid and CPR Must have six (6) years of assisted living management, geriatric management/administration experience, or a BSN and two (2) years experience in geriatrics. Must have thorough knowledge of all applicable state regulations governing assisted living. Job Specific Duties Include: Create and maintain an atmosphere of warmth and personal interest, ensuring a positive, calm environment throughout the community. Ensure that each resident receives the necessary care and medical and psychological services to attain and maintain the highest possible mental and physical functional status. Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, maintain, monitor, supervise and direct overall operations, including programs, activities, policies and procedures and implement changes as necessary. Interpret and ensure compliance with all community policies and procedures by all employees, residents, families, visitors, government agencies and the general public. Plan, develop and maintain an ongoing quality assurance program. Recruit, interview, hire and maintain competent personnel. Maintain and implement job descriptions and performance evaluations for all staff positions. Ensure proper documentation’s and records on all personnel are in accordance with applicable regulations and given to Human Resources Dept. Assist in preparing annual operating budgets. Establish, maintain and ensure adequate financial records and cost reports and submit to CFO. Actively involved in the Move-in process including family meetings and contract execution Conducts tours and presentations in the absence of the Director of Admissions; ensures all available units are in “show ready” condition Develop and implement resident service plan upon admission, quarterly and as needs develop Community Wide Standards: Customer Service – Interacts with residents, their family members and co-workers in a respectful manner Education and Staff In-Services – includes training for individual departments, Poydras Home, and Green House Project Infection Control - Adheres to Poydras Home infection control policies and procedures Professionalism Safety - Recognizes and responds appropriately to safety hazards throughout the community In the event of a hurricane or other disaster or emergency situation, is required to be part of the Disaster Team. Depending on Disaster Team assignment, may be required to shelter in place or evacuate with the Residents and staff to the designated primary or secondary evacuation locations as per the Emergency Preparedness Disaster Policy. Time and Attendance – Adheres to Poydras Home Attendance policy
