About The Position

This position may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement that may include a partially remote work location, consistent with System Office policy. UNC Chapel Hill employees are generally required to reside within a reasonable commuting distance of their assigned duty station. Reporting to the Executive Director of Annual Giving, the Director will oversee and drive the strategy for a multi-channel, donor-centric communications program, including direct mail, telephone constituency engagement, email, crowdfunding, and other digital strategies. The Director will manage the direct marketing and school and unit teams.

• Ability to interact effectively in a comprehensive research university setting.
• Familiarity with the University’s academic and administrative offices and their functions; knowledge of and ability to tap resources within the University community.
• An employment history highlighted by increasing levels of responsibility and a demonstrated ability to exercise sensitivity and good judgment in dealing with staff and the public.
• Superb interpersonal relationship skills.
• Exceptional written and oral communications skills.

Nice To Haves

• 3-5 years of demonstrated successful annual giving or transferrable experience is preferred.
• Experience with Blackbaud CRM and Salesforce Marketing Cloud preferred.
